Power Supply

NOTE — Power Supply Not Included! Here’s a compatible (9V, center negative, 500 mA) power supply for all our pedals:

KSR Pedal Power Supply

Overview

It’s not your typical boost. It will boost clean without overdrive, add a little grit, or add distortion. It has a 3-band active EQ for precision sculpting.

Use it in front to add volume or grit to a clean or crunch channel. Or, sculpt your amp’s distortion response, as you would with a typical boost. However, you’re no longer limited to a narrow frequency range dictated by a single tone control found on a lot of classic boosts.

Similarly, use it before or after the Ceres for even more control over its tones, and in order to get the most out of it based on your power amp situation.

Setup Notes

This is not “just another TS style boost,” therefore it should not be setup in that way. e.g. don’t crank the Level and cut the Gain. Start with both at noon and go from there. The Feel (tight/fat/thick) and Mode (clean/clip/dirt) switches will lose effectiveness the lower the Gain control is set.

Further, the higher Level is cranked the more internal distortion can be generated in the last gain stage, and therefore it will add distortion within the Eros coupled with a higher Gain setting. With a lower Gain setting the last stage will remain unclipped, but a huge signal will slam the front end of any amp. This can be too large a signal to achieve your desired sound. e.g. too much saturation due to lack of headroom in the amp’s first stage.

In short, all the controls will interact, and there are countless ways you can run this pedal. Please experiment and share your results!!

I bought this on a whim after seeing Killertone demo it, but I tell you what….it is awesome. My other boost had one knob, you turn it left or right to taste, but it was always missing a little something. In walks the EROS. This bad boy has three very (and I mean very) responsive EQ knobs. I actually keep my treb and mid at noon and when I am just riffing in the office I bump the low end up to 7 because I like having some bass. When I record, I can dial the bass back so I don’t step on my bass tracks toes. That control alone made this worth it. You also have the two toggle switches, one that controls tightness and one that allows you to select clean or two different stages of clipping. Last but not least, there is a level and gain control.

    tl;dr
This pedal is a monster. I love. You will love it.

Fantastic boost. I normally use a number of boosts/overdrives to boost my amps because not all work with every amp but this has really consolidated that significantly. It really does a good job of being a clean boost for amps like my Bogner Uberschall, mesa dual rec and ksr gemini but with just changing the mode it works fantastically with stuff like my vintage jcm/jmp 2204. The eq is great as well as the feel switch since I set the boost pretty modern, but if the amp doesn’t like a very modern setting I just switch the feel and it’ll fit the amps needs. Plus, its built well and looks great! Just do yourself a favor and get it

Hands down the best boost ever it is so versatile and aggressive .
The toggle switch functions along with the eq
can take any amp it’s put in front of to new levels .
I was personally in a rut with playing this pedal alone. Has opened the doors back up
    Get one !!!!!

This pedal is the truth! Another product with a lot of options in how you run it. It’s a snarling beast is my flavor. Over the years, after owning Maxons, Tubescreamers, Fortins etc this thing is definitely out on top, no bull. Favorite pedal yet.

I haven’t even tried this on my Orthos 2 yet because it makes my 6505 an all new monster. I run this combination stereo along with my Orthos and it just moves walls both tuned low and standard.
I would go to battle along side the guys at KSR.
