Overview
It’s not your typical boost. It will boost clean without overdrive, add a little grit, or add distortion. It has a 3-band active EQ for precision sculpting.
Use it in front to add volume or grit to a clean or crunch channel. Or, sculpt your amp’s distortion response, as you would with a typical boost. However, you’re no longer limited to a narrow frequency range dictated by a single tone control found on a lot of classic boosts.
Similarly, use it before or after the Ceres for even more control over its tones, and in order to get the most out of it based on your power amp situation.
Setup Notes
This is not “just another TS style boost,” therefore it should not be setup in that way. e.g. don’t crank the Level and cut the Gain. Start with both at noon and go from there. The Feel (tight/fat/thick) and Mode (clean/clip/dirt) switches will lose effectiveness the lower the Gain control is set.
Further, the higher Level is cranked the more internal distortion can be generated in the last gain stage, and therefore it will add distortion within the Eros coupled with a higher Gain setting. With a lower Gain setting the last stage will remain unclipped, but a huge signal will slam the front end of any amp. This can be too large a signal to achieve your desired sound. e.g. too much saturation due to lack of headroom in the amp’s first stage.
In short, all the controls will interact, and there are countless ways you can run this pedal. Please experiment and share your results!!

The Eros arrived in my house some 4-5 days after I bought it by Fedex. KSR amps are always efficient and generally quite friendly. They run a tight operation indicative of a successful business. They have successfully shipped products without fail around the world for years. So, there’s nothing to worry about buying from them, no matter where you are in the world. I like that considering I am from Ireland and always get nervous buying from outside Europe.
The KSR Eros pedal is brilliant. Its one of the very few pedals that turns any tube amplifier into a fire breathing metal monster that is full of mayhem! It’s also super responsive so it can be moulded and shaped so you can get most modern metal tones from it, doing its job perfectly.
It’s a must have for any metal player, I would rate it as no.1 amongst all of the other Boost+EQ pedals in the world, simply because it’s clearly targeted at metal users worldwide. It’s my favourite pedal and the best one I’ve ever owned.. and that’s saying a lot!😁
